When: Friday January 22, 2010

Floral skirt: Madison (Panama)
Orange top: La Onda (Panama)
Wine cardi: Target
Brown thin belt: present from my parents
Brown tights: Target
Beige boots: El Costo (Panama)
Brown Liz Claiborne purse: TJ Max
Gold scarf: Giveaway at a L'oreal event

Where: Breakfast at Ihop, before-school-errands like buying books and that sort, and dinner at Red Lobster (yum!)

Today I tried this new color combo for the first time! I love the fire-y feeling of this wine color combined with the orange. I was inspired by a an article on academichic regarding colors and how to combine them. Check it out here.

I also tied my scarf as half a bow for the first time! I really like the original and cool effect this scarf gives the outfit... and it also allowed me to show off my Golden Key pin... jejeje. As always, a happy outfit :)

Here are other ways in which I've worn this skirt:

  1. Oooh you always have such interesting ways of wearing scarves! Adore the star earrings too!

  2. I think it must have been really difficult to try and combine those three hues together, particularly the wine and orange since they are on such different sides of the color spectrum.

But I think the fact that your top had gold studs, which combines well with your gold scarf, and then the skirt being a light color, made this whole outfit work really nicely. Congratulations!

  3. Thanks for your comment on Weardrobe!
I'm so glad to have found your blog -- I really like your style, especially how you style cheerful, bright pieces -- perfect for upcoming spring weather!
