I have learned the hard way the importance of accepting and loving myself for who I am. There is no need to compare oneself with others or feel discouraged by other's accomplishments because each and every one of us is different and special in our own way.
I am proud to be who I am and I accept myself for both the good and the bad. Doing so has allowed me to feel confident and good about myself... and that is a feeling I love to feel!

I think we've all been through that same thing. Just today I was thinking about how I hated being compared to anyone as a kid, feeling that I can never accomplish enough. But your words are right, it's all about pushing that aside and going on with being yourself. In short: you go, girl!
Thanks for the nice comment btw-- you seem to be an aficionado of colored tights yourself. :) Your outfits and blog are so cute.

I feel the exact same way! I remember always caring what others thought about me and then one day, I realized that I was completely different from the people around me and that I liked to dress a little "weird". From that point on, I dressed and acted how I wanted to and not how my friends did. It really is such a confidence boost to just go your own way and make yourself happy and not worry about what others are thinking.
you are right on with this outlook. I used to wonder how I could ever be as great and famous as my uncles until I realized I have my own shoes to fill that I do a great job filling and that gives me great satisfaction. As a matter of fact, just like I could never fill their shoes, nor could they fll mine as well as I do. We all have our gifts which we should recognize make us unique and special and go for it. jgm
