When: Wednesday July 14, 2010

Floral dress: ? (Panama)
Green blazer: ? (Panama)
Beige pumps: From this seller on eBay
Beige Tommy Hilfiger purse: TJ Max

Where: Worked on a special event for my internship (day 3 out of 12) and watched a soccer game at a friend's house.

When I was younger, I used to have completely un-tamable hair! My hair was so frizzy that my family and I would call it "lion hair" or "hay hair", jajaja. But one day I realized that my hair wasn't "bad", I just wasn't working with it correctly. All I needed to do was to embrace the natural curves in my hair, rather than always wishing I had straight hair.

So, I decided to work with what I have and now I am quite fond of my hair. I have found several different hair-do's that look good and I try to stick to those looks.

So what I am trying to say is that every hair can look nice if you just embrace its natural form and work with what you have. Try to stop wishing you had someone else's hair and love the way you are. So go ahead and give it a try! I'm sure it couldn't be worse than my "hay hair"! jaja

Here are all the ways in which I've worn this dress:

  1. I would love to see the fantastic kaleidoscope of your closet! Love the print and colors on this dress - and is that a tiny snail earring?!

  2. Real nice thoughts on accepting your hair and making the best of it as it applies to all the gifts each of us have that is good to recognize rather than wishing something else.
BTW, your hair always looks spectacular & you always look beautiful. jgm

  3. You look so good in every color! I love this outfit. I think everyone goes through that with their hair! Silly adolescence and the horrors that it brings.. (for the record, your hair looks fantastic!) ♥

  4. such pretty color combinations, love it! thanks for your sweet comment!

  5. okay, I always looooove how your hair looks as I have about two hairstyles that work for me. Yours is so gorgeous it is hard to imagine it was ever unruly ....

  6. Your hair always looks amazing- what do you use to tame it?

  7. Thanks for the comments everyone, I appreciate it!! You all really make me smile with your sweet words, thank you so much.

To answer your question Lisa, yes its a little snail, isn't it adorable! I absolutely love it :)

And to answer your question LyddieGal, I realized that my curvy hair would get frizzy because I would comb it all the time. So I stopped combining it so often and I use a anti-frizz cream to do hair-do's. It's worked pretty good for me so far!

  8. Love the print on the dress! And those snail earrings are adorable; they add a nice whimsical touch to your outfit :)

  9. This dress looks so nice on you in all the ways you worn it but, total you are pulling of business casual well!

  10. I too have "hay hair" it used to be a mad frizzy curly bomb when I was little!

Love the snail earrings they are sooooooo cute!!!

    Have a great wkend!
