When: Sunday November 7, 2010

Striped top: ? (Panama)
Black skirt: H&M
Pink tights: JC Penny's
Black pumps: ? (Panama)
White clutch: Forever XXI
Pearl necklaces: Pasarela (Panama)

Where: Walked around the mall and ran some errands with my boyfriend.

Most of the time, I try to make the colors of my outfit all go together in some way. But today I thought: bold and out of nowhere! So hence: the pink tights that don't really combine with anything in the entire outfit. My look was actually inspired by this outfit of Jessica from What I Wore:

I love how the stripes, pearls, and pop of pink of my outfit all look together. I felt just slightly like a Parisian girl! Anyway, I know it doesn't really "combine", but I love it nonetheless :)

Do you ever wear items with a color that doesn't really combine with anything else in your outfit?

Here are all the ways in which I've worn these pink tights:

  1. I love the black and white with the pink tights. I think it works really well together!

I have a question, I have a magenta skirt with a thick black band that I got at Old Navy. What could I wear with it? I'd appreciate your input!

  2. This is probably my favorite outfit of yours. :) I seriously love the pop of pink and the pearls against the stripes, it's so perfect!!~

  3. Gorgeous tights, Marie, one of my favorite colors. The whole ensemble is great, esp. w/ the multiple pearl strands. Love the light on your face in the last photo. Thanks for sharing!

  4. You look very classy and I love those bright tights! :)

  5. I like your copy of Jessica but making it yours. And I LOVE the colorful tights. I bought several pairs on sale this summer and am so eager for it to be cool enough to break them out, with you and several others as inspiration! Have a good day.

  6. I love this look, it's Parisian feel and your fab tights!!

  7. you are right. the tights are bold and not having any other pink to help pull it together in your outfit is also bold, but that in itself is refreshingly different, plus it looks good with your outfit and adds more of a bang it showed up on its own. For me, tho, it does have a match to balance the tights is your nice necklace which brings a powerful balance to the wild tights. good going. bold is foxy. jgm
