Lately I have been noticing that I always make the same hairdos in the morning; so today I decided to try something different! I tried (emphasis on the word tried) to do a braid in the back of my head... the problem? Well, it turned out very very messy (I mean, there is even a bobby pin just sticking out of it!):

Since my haircut includes so many layers, it is almost impossible for me to make a sleek and clean braid in my hair... boo hoo... Well, it was worth a try :)

Do you manage to do sleek and clean braids in your hair? Any tips or tricks?

Here are all the ways in which I've worn this red top:

  1. Love the red top! Very bohemian like. :)

I actually like messy braids because they look more effortless and chic to me. Love your braid- I don't know how to braid hair so you got me beat LOL

  2. hmmmm,, I don't have as many layers as you, but ... braiding it while it is wet and using some gel can help - unfortunately that leads more to helmet head sometimes, lol.... I can't stand to wear my hair down in the summer. I'm amazed that you do it so often ... I wish I had more stylish updos. I guess I just have to practice.

I second the pp, the red top is lovely...

  3. Like you I have issues with the braid. It's all the layers and the fact that I have thin hair and not much of it !
Nevertheless I think it looks good :)
