Work + Movies with my boyfriend and his family to watch Johnny English

Lately I have realized that my outfits have become a little "safer" and "predictable" when I go to work. I seemed to have lost that boldness in me to wear funky things to work. So today I decided to step out of my safe zone and wear bright pink tights to work!!

I know people stare when I wear things like this (sometimes good stares, but mostly bad stares); but it makes me happy to be myself. And like my dad always says to me, I am a walking example to others that it is important to be yourself no matter what others think.

Do you wear bold pieces to work?

Here are all the ways in which I've worn these pink tights:

  1. Love those tights! And the lace trim on your dress is so pretty.

I wouldn't call what I wear to work "bold", but they're not normal office wear either. But then again I work at a film production company so their dress code is pretty relaxed.

  2. You are rocking those bright tights! Love this!  The bow clutch is absolutely adorable too. You took a girly and feminine dress and made it a little edgy and fun! Good for you :)

  3. How fun are those tights? You look so cute!

  4. marie, i have a pair of tights this same magenta color and they are still in their packaging because i haven't felt bold enough to wear them yet!  but your collage gives me lots of inspiration of how i could wear them!

  5. What kind of lipstick or gloss are you wearing?  It is very pretty.

  6. I love those pink tights Marie! Good for you girl, because they look gorgeous on you. That dress is adorable! Stay true to YOU! :D

  7. Love this! I am definitely going to find a way to wear MY bright pink tights to work.

  8. Love the tights ! Would have never dared to wear them but you make them look like a must-have with the collage. so glad to see you go back to bold looks like this !

  9. Very pretty tights! May have to get me some..

  10. Great outfit! Love the tights with the dress- brings it out! :)

  11. I love the dress with the tights combination! <3<3

  12. I love the pink tights! I agree with your dad :)

  13. This is one of the best ways in which you've worn those tights. Beautiful! The tiny flecks of pink in that dress just works perfectly with them.

  14. I love how you stepped out with these pink tights, styling them so perfectly.

  15. just found that the link u put on people's comment is broken..i think the html codes are wrong :s

    i love the purple-pink tights here !

  16. Loving your bright pink tights, they reall took your dress out of its elements. :)

  17. Your outfits are always beautiful and tasteful. I cant imagine you getting bad stares. They are probably wishing they had your boldness! :)

  18. Love your stems in those bright pink tights! Great how you grounded them with the black pumps.
    Have a great weekend!

  19. Yes, I like this and
Yes, sometimes I wear odd things to work.
But as Kurt Cobain said it best:"They laugh at me because I’m different; I laugh at them because they’re all the same."

  20. Love, love  love it. The dress is great and the tights are brilliant,
and I like all the outfit pics you have posted here
Pink tights should be compulsory haha

  21. Only you could wear such boldly colored tights and make it look good Marie! Anything other than black or grey tights is outside of my comfort zone, so I don't think colored tights will be an addition to my wardrobe any time soon. They look great on you though!

  22. Thanks for letting me know! I'll have to be more careful when I write it from now on. Thanks for the comment and heads up, have a nice day!

  23. Aaawww, I'm so glad it does Heidi!! Can't wait to see you wear them :)

  24. Hello Rebecca! First of all, thank you for always commenting on my blog... I really do appreciate it! To answer your question, I first used a bright pink lipstick, Brand: "Wendy", Code: "GA10 Wendy 09 Perfect Lipstick". Then on top of that, I put the "Maximum Plumping Lip Treatment" gloss by Sally Hansen. I'm sure you could achieve the same effect by wearing any brand of pink lipstick you own and just adding some gloss on top!

Hope that helps. Thanks again and have a wonderful day!

  25. Hello Celeste! I'm so sorry to have taken so long in reading this comment! Aaaaawww, thank you SOO SOO much for your sweet words! It makes me so happy to hear that you enjoy my blog (blushing here)... I really appreciate it :)

Yes, of course we can be friends! I'm heading over to your blog right now!
